Cecilia Lind is a ceramic artist and sculptor, born in Denmark, living and working in Jerusalem. In her ceramic work, she combines wheeltrowing with hand-building, and is mostly walking the line between a sculptural vessel and a practical sculpture. At the end of 2023, she began sculpting in cardboard as well, a material which is almost the opposite of ceramics, both in the sense of the process and the immediacy of the results, and in the sense of the material itself – ceramics is fragile yet eternal, while cardboard is robust yet degradable. In al her work, Nature plays a central role, a nature where Man is absent. The only person present is the viewer (or the creator), surrounded by plants and animals who are rational. This nature is not a menacing, but it is aware and alert.
