במחול עדין בין אחדות לדואליות ,התערוכה הקבוצתית ׳אחד+אחד׳ מזמינה את הצופים לחוות את הכוח שבשילוב ואת הפוטנציאל הטרנספורמטיבי החבוי בזיווגם של אלמנטים שונים .יציאה למסע מחקר בפרשנות רחבה של המושג ׳דיפטיך׳ יצרה עבור אמני גלריית מרי הזדמנות לבחינה וקריאה מחודשת של יצירתם באמצעות שיתופי פעולה או דרך גילוי חיבורים חדשים בתוך גוף עבודותיהם.

זוועות ה 7-באוקטובר הכריחו את כולנו ,כפריטים וכחברה ,לחקור ולבחון מחדש את הנחות היסוד הבסיסיות והשורשיות ביותר שלנו .מתוך הכרה באנרגיה הטרנספורמטיבית הנוצרת בהתלכדותן של פרספקטיבות מגוונות ׳אחד+אחד׳ מציעה מתודולוגיה לעיבוד מציאותנו החדשה ,הצורמת והסוריאליסטית.
בפיתוח דיאלוג יצירתי החוצה מעבר לגבולות המדיום האמנותי ,אנו מאתגרים תפיסות מקובעות ומעודדים התבוננות מעמיקה יותר ביחסי הגומלין בין אחדות למגוון ,בין היחיד והקולקטיב.

In a delicate dance between unity and duality, the group exhibit ‘One+One’ invites viewers to experience the power of combination and the transformative potential hidden within the pairing of disparate elements. This exploration of an expansive interpretation of ‘diptych’ offered the Marie Gallery artists opportunities for introspection and recontextualization through collaboration with another or through the discovery of novel connections within their own corpus.
At the heart of this exhibit is the idea that when two entities come together, they have the potential to create a third, unique synthesis that goes beyond the individual contributions. It is a contemplation of the relationships between the paired elements - be it colour and form, tradition and innovation, or chaos and order. The artists featured in this exhibit traverse various mediums and styles, showcasing a rich tapestry of creative voices.
The horrific events of October 7th forced all of us, as individuals and as a collective, to reevaluate and interrogate our most fundamental and primal axioms. In an ode to the
transformative energy generated when diverse perspectives converge, ‘One+One’ suggests a methodology for processing our new, jarring and surreal reality. By sparking a creative dialogue that extends beyond the confines of the artistic medium, we challenge preconceived notions, encouraging a deeper exploration of the interplay between unity and diversity, our individuality and interconnectedness.
